% DISCOUNTS % Do´s and Dont´s

It’s no secret that we all like discounts, but sometimes I have had some requests that are incredible.

X DONT´S – Please don’t ask for a discount just because you are a US retired military, US Marine, AAA, etc… I am sure that the people in your country feel very proud of you and you might get a lot of benefits from this but please be aware that Mexico is a different country and those discounts may not apply specially if you are booking through a Mexican company.

I am sure that if you were booking your Mexican vacation through a company in your own country they will be happy to provide you special discounts for those reasons.

✔️ DO´S – Every company in Mexico is different and the following discounts MAY or MAY NOT apply in some businesses, but at least these discounts are more common in Mexico.

✔️Celebrating Birthday – In some places they give special discounts to bday people
✔️Bachelor/Bachelorette – Sometimes the bachelor or bachelorette will get a special discount
✔️Newly Weds - This is the most common one for discounts, also if you are celebrating your Anniversary.
✔️MEXICAN Seniors Card INAPAM – This card is the favorite of a lot of people because they can get up to 50% discounts on different things in Mexico.
✔️Large Group – When you are traveling with a large group its very common that you get special discounts, in the hotels I know that they normally give 1 free room for every 10 rooms paid, and for activities they normally apply the 10 people paid and the 11th person is free.

This travel tips is based on my personal experience working in the tourism industry. It may or may not apply to some companies here in Mexico but at least it doesnt hurt to ask the next time you book your vacations.
