Foodie in Puerto Vallarta
A big part of traveling is eating and here in Mexico a lot more since one of the best things that we have is our food so I am also going to be sharing my favorite places to eat, some of them are very local for the people that are coming on a budget and others are touristy for the people with a fancy taste. <not sponsored>

"Barcelona Tapas" is a nice restaurant their specialty is Paella and they have a great sangria, totally recommend it. Delicious food, the view is amazing and the staff was OK.
I will like to recommend my favorite local business for gorditas (mexican dish) they are yummy. The name of the place is "Gorditas Doña Tota",
my favorite ones are "carnita con salsa verde", "chicharon crujiente" and "ham with cheese".
You can find this local stand inside of Soriana Pitillal OR inside of Galerias Mall in the food section.

I´ve been there a couple of times and the food is really good, the staff is friendly and the place has a good vibe. Totally recommend it
This is my favorite local business for tacos dorados de birria, their name is "Tacos de Birria Chanfay" and they have the best sauces for these type of tacos, this place is located in the old town of PV (across from the primera plus ticket station) they are right next to "mundo de azulejos". Totally recommend them
Its the turn of "Incanto Vallarta" I celebrated my bday in this restaurant and had a lot of fun.
The place is very cozy, they normally have live music or some kind of entertainment, the food was delicious and staff really friendly.
Its the turn of my favorite local spot for "Chilaquiles verdes con pollo" this place is called "Tomasa" and they have a good variety of dishes and the prices are really reasonable. They are located right in front of "Plaza de Toros La Paloma" next door to estafeta (close to Liverpool mall). Totally recommend it!
This restaurant is the favorite of a lot of people "Joe Jacks" a lot of people like their famous mojitos, I honestly dont drink very much so I cannot give you a review on that. Sorry :( However when it comes to the hamburguer and the fries they had a decent size and the flavour was really good, the place was great and the staff friendly.
This is my favorite place for tacos in general. This taco stand is called "Mar y Tierra" and they have a good variety of tacos, I love their guacamole its so Yummy!. They are located right across from the Coopel in the corner and they have red plastic chairs all around, you cannot miss it.
Its time to talk about a restaurant called "Trio" located very near the Guadalupe Church. This place is a little hidden, the environment is very nice, they had classical music which I really like, staff was friendly, food was delicious and drinks were awesome. Totally Recommend it!
This is one of my favorite places to eat when I am around the "sports stadium". This place is called "Fonda El Estadio" I like their food very much, they have a great variety and their prices are very reasonable. Totally Recommend it :)
Its the turn of "McCarthy's Irish Pub" this place is located in Plaza Peninsula. Its a really cool place, the burger was HUGE I could only eat half of it, the other half I took it home. There was a nice band playing "oldies rock music" so it was a great evening for sure. I will recommend it
This is a place that sells all kinds of "tortas" they are called "Tortas Gigantes El Caballo de Villa" they are located in francisco villa street before the corner where you turn left to head to the tunnel.
I dont remember which one I got but as you can see they are HUGE, you can eat half and save the other half for later. Totally Recommended :)

"Day Off" this place is located at the end of the malecon its right infront of the ocean, great place to go eat or have some drinks. Beautiful view Totally Recommended!
I checked a new place called "Tacos Neto" in Plaza Caracol (in front of the versalles bus stop), it was a good experience, they had a good variety of tacos and salsas, they also had volcanes which I Love and the staff was nice. Go and check it out!
"El Camaron Express" is a very popular place located in the "Plaza Genovesa" (right next to office depot) it was my first time eating there and I really like it. My burrita was yummy and the staff was really friendly. Totally recommend it!
This is one of my favorite places to have "Tacos de Birria Dorados". its called "Birrieria y Taqueria Liz" and its located right behind the "Ley Supermarket" right across from the entrance to the parking lot of Ley´s. I like the place, the food is yummy and the staff is really friendly. Totally recommend them
Its the turn of "Daiquiri Dick's" in my opinion this restaurant is great for everybody but perfect for couples, it has an outdoor area, the view is great. Of course the food was yummy, there was live music and a friendly staff. Something that I really like is that they are now using biodegradable straws which is great. 👍
I will be sharing with all of you my favorite place in the downtown area for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. They have great food all day everyday. Its located right across from the entrance to the Guadalupe Church. This is one of the places that I recommend the most if you are staying in the dowtown area or even in the old town of PV. My favorite menu from all is the Dinner Menu it has a lot of variety of Mexican Traditional dishes. Go and check it out!
Its the turn of an italian restaurant called "Pasta Fresca" they are located very close to the Mercado Palmar de Aramara (near the Waltmart in PV) it was actually my first time in this cute little restaurant, some friends and I went for dinner and I must say it was a great evening, the place has a cozy vibe, we had live music, the staff was great and the food was delicious. Totally recommend them!
Its the turn to talk about my favorite place to eat in Plaza Caracol, its called "Jugos El Guero" this little restaurant has all kinds of fast foods, but my favorite food from there is the cheesecake, its so Yummy! 😋
This is the favorite place of a lot of people in the downtown area, this place is called "El Andariego" and its located across from the Buenaventura hotel <not sponsored> they are open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner but I went for breakfast and it was a good experience. Check it out!
"Guipis" I went to this place by accident I was in the old town area and I stop by and I tried something new called "Alambres" the funny part about this is that they give you the tortillas on the side, it was a mixed of meat/veggies/cheese but it tasted real good, They have this in the afternoons and in the morning they have a breakfast menu. Check them out!
Its the turn of one of the favorite restaurants of a lot of people, a place in the old town of PV called "El Brujo". One of the things that stand out the most about this place is that they have like a "kids area" and I thought it was very convenient for families with young children. Of course the food was great, staff was friendly and I totally recommend it!
Today I am going to talk about my favorite taco stand when I am around the romantic zone in the afternoons, this place is called "Memo Grill" and its located exactly outside the office of "Wildtreks" <not sponsored> this place is very popular, I think they have great food and service.
If you are arriving to PV or departing you cannot leave without tasting the Marlyn or Shrimp Burritos that are right accross from the airport here in Puerto Vallarta. You can have them while waiting for your transportation on your arrival or if you are making time for your departure flight. Totally Recommend them. Yummy😋
The restaurant "Rocio" its located in Punta de Mita, it has a beautiful ocean view, the food and drinks were yummy! Go and Check it out!
