How to get to the Charreria Competition by bus?

I got this questions last year so many times that this year I decided to make a "travel tip" explaining all about it and show you how easy it is to get there by bus no matter where you are coming from.

 

✅*What bus should I take? (images above)
It´s a white (new bus) that reads "Las Palmas" it is the only bus that will take you there. It passes by every 15 minutes and it charges $19pesos per person.

 

✅*DOWNTOWN, OLD TOWN or the SOUTHSIDE HOTEL AREA.- If you are staying in this area to make it very easy for you I will recommend that you take a Bus #03(blue and white), Bus #04(blue and white) or Versalles(green and white OR just white) if you have any doubts you can always ask the driver "baja funeraria celis?" any of the other buses that pass by downtown will leave you at least 1 block down so thats why I am recommending these buses because that same spot where they drop you off, its the same bus stop to catch the bus from Las Palmas. ✅*5 DE DICIEMBRE.- Just walk to the "funeraria celis" <not sponsored> right across from it you will see a Kiosco (convenience store) <not sponsored> thats the bus stop to go to "Las Palmas" and in my opinion the BEST stop for this bus because they will be a lot of empty seats and you will understand why I mention this later on. I recommend that you try to seat the closest to one of the exit doors. Because if on a regular day it gets packed imagine on the dates of this event. (image above)

 

✅*NUEVO VALLARTA, BUCERIAS, PUNTA DE MITA, ANY PART OF NAYARIT.- The closest meeting location for the people coming from nayarit will be the "crucero de las juntas" however since mostly only the locals know where this place is and its a little difficult to explain the location, I will share the easiest place for you no matter if you dont know the area. Tell the bus driver to drop you off at the airport and from there you cross the bridge to the other side (image above) and "Las Palmas" bus stop is there.

Normally this bus drops people off at the "carretera" (highway) however on the days of this event the bus drivers change their route a little bit and they will drop you off (and pick you up for the return) at the parking lot of the arena.

If you want to drive to the Arena Vallarta of course you can do it and they have a big parking area, they charge around $30pesos 

 

✴️My Recommendation✴️
-If you feel lost you can always catch the bus in Waltmart in PV. (the very first bus stop, NOT the one closer to vips restaurant)

-If you will like to save $ please eat before you go, because the prices in the arena are a little expensive

-Another way to save $ is bringing you own drinks and snacks in your purse, nobody checked our purse at the entrance
