What is the best way to get to Guadalajara? and What things can I do? 🚗

One of the favorite trips from Puerto Vallarta is Guadalajara, a lot of people like to go shopping, others explore this big city so different from PV, whatever your reason is its very easy to get there without having to spend hundreds of dollars on a "tour".

🔴WHERE DO I TAKE THE BUS? and WHICH BUS?
All you need to do is go to the "central camionera"(bus station) there are many different buses to choose from and they all have different prices depending if they are direct or they make several stops along the way. Me personally I like the ETN bus <not sponsored> I think their seats are very comfortable and spacious compared to other buses that I have took in the past. Depending on the bus you can make your booking online in advanced or just pay directly in cash.

🔴WHAT TO DO?
It will totally depend on how many days you will be there. I will share some of my favorite things that I like to do when I visit that area.

✴️My recommendations✴️
✔️Eat a "Torta Ahogada" this is the typical dish from Guadalajara so you cannot leave without giving it a try, be careful with the hot sauce.
✔️Go Shopping to the "Mercado San Juan de Dios" please arrive early because this is the largest market in all Mexico, you probably need a couple of days to explore it all.
✔️Take the "Tapatio"<not sponsored> bus that departs from the downtown area What I like the most about this bus is that you pay a bracelet that costs around $7USD and with that same ticket you can take a tour to Guadalajara, Tlaquepaque, Zapopan and/or Tonala, all you need to do is check the timing but you are able to do it Back-to-Back thats why its so important to start very early so you can explore more.
✔️Go to Tequila this is a great opportunity to learn about this delicious drink and get to know the city where it came from, Tequila is just around 1hr away from Guadalajara
✔️Explore Guachimontones (round pyramids) just around 45 min from Guadalajara is a very interesting site with round pyramids this is a great way to spend your day.

There are MANY things to do and explore in Guadalajara but these are some basic and great options no matter what budget you have.
